The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum

“Dedicated to exploring global contemporary culture and ideas through art, the Broad Art Museum at MSU will serve as both an educational resource for the campus community and a cultural hub.” More than 7,500 items curated for the purpose of presenting “contemporary works within a historical context” can be viewed and studied. Over 70 percent of the 46,000 square-foot facility is occupied by international art of contemporary culture and ideas. The museum is titled after Eli and Edythe Broad, the museum’s initial benefactors and Michigan State University supporters. The building itself was designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Zaha Hadid of London based Zaha Hadid Architects
