The Warby Parker Mission for a Better Vision

One of life’s greatest gifts is the gift of sight. Movie cameras mimic while DSLRs capture and frame, but both are fashioned after our eyes. Stylish and affordable eyewear brand Warby Parker is on a mission to spread the gift of a better vision; pun intended. With each pair of their signature eyeglasses or sunglasses sold, the company’s Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program donates a pair to one of the 2.5 billion people around the globe who require glasses but lack access. The program is a two-prong initiative that not only gives glasses to school-age children where teachers are alerted to the child developing difficulties but also trains locals to administer basic eye exams and become eyeglass sellers themselves. Philanthropic and empowering the campaign has garnered Fast Company’s attention listing them one of The World’s Most Innovative Companies.
